		<description><![CDATA[<p>SUBIC BAY Freeport: November 24 marked the day when thousands of residents from Olongapo City, and Zambales and Bataan provinces volunteered to manage this former American naval base after the U.S. troops withdrew in 1992.</p>
<p>Subic naval base was the largest US military installation outside mainland US. When its troops withdrew, thousands of volunteers worked without compensation that turned the area into one of the most successful Freeport in history.</p>

		<description><![CDATA[<p>SUBIC Freeport: The Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority (SBMA) reported Wednesday that investment pledges from local investors in this Freeport reordered an all-time high reaching $1.07 billion for the first nine months of this year.</p>
<p>Local investors, according to SBMA, dominated this year’s pledges totaling 72 out of the 95 projects approved by the SBMA management.</p>
<p>Filipino-owned company represents 99.18 percent of the total new investments worth $1.08 billion.</p>
