Congresswoman Mitos Magsaysay and former Zambales Vice governor Anne Gordon are heading for a face-off for the mayoralty post in the 2013 local elections.

This, after the third-termer Magsaysay moved her official residence to Old Cabalan last December, fueling speculations that she is preparing for a bid for the city’s mayoralty post.

DTI warns businessmen inside calamity area

The Department of Trade and Industry warned businessmen taking advantage of consumers in provinces under state of calamity not to overprice their product especially basic commodities or face consequence for their action.

DTI Central Luzon Information Officer Wilfredo Carbonell said that prices of basic good in 6 provinces and one city have been put on price freeze following the declaration of stat of calamity due to typhoon Pedring and Quiel ravage in the said areas.

OLONGAPO City: A construction worker and a father of six was named “Best Tatay” of this city by the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino program of the national government.
