Subic locators cry foul over new BIR order

SUBIC Bay Freeport: Locators inside this Freeport, headed by Subic Bay Freeport Chamber of Commerce (SBFCC) President Danny Piano, protested the new Bureau of Revenue (BIR) order implementing taxes on oil products here.

This after the BIR issued last week Revenue Regulation-2-2012 that would tax oil companies even those inside the Freeport zones starting next week.

The BIR however noted that it would be refunded if buyers can show proof that the oil products were consumed inside the Freeport.

Iba, Zambales: The province of Bulacan dominated the Central Luzon Regional Athletic Association (CLRAA) besting out 17 other division in the region as it formally close today at the Zambales sports complex.

Bulacan gathered 499.66 overall points while second place went to Pampanga with a total 358 points. Tthe city of Olongapo came in third with a total of 247.91 points.

4th place went to Bataan, 5th to Angeles, 6th to Tarlac, 7th Nueva Ecija, 8th place went to Malolos city, 9th to Tarlac and last place in the [...]

International cruise ship to dock in Subic

SUBIC BAY Freeport: The Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority (SBMA) announced today that it will welcome the first international cruise ship that will dock here Friday as part of its bid to make this Freeport a major cruise ship destination in Asia.

M/V Spirit of Adventure, a UK based cruise ship arrived in Manila today and will dock in Subic on Friday to visit various tourist destinations in the area.
