OLONGAPO City: A correspondent of the Pilipino Star Ngayon (PSN) complained of receiving barrage of death threats after accompanying several individuals who filed charges against the chief of police here.

Alex Galang said he got several text messages the evening after coming home to cover the filing of charges against Olongapo City police chief Christopher Tambungan at the Office of Ombudsman and the Philippine National Headquarters in Camp Crame.

The International Federation of Journalists (IFJ) joins its affiliate the National Union of Journalists of the Philippines (NUJP) in its concern regarding reports that a journalist was harassed by police in Olongapo City, in Philippines’ Zamales Province, on April 3, 2012.
