Zambales gets P60M worth of agri-projects

SAN FELIPE, Zambales: The Provincial Government of Zambales announced that some P60-million worth of agricultural projects had been approved by the Department of Agriculture (DA).

This was announced by Zambales Governor Hermogenes Ebdane Jr. to fishermen in a forum held in Botoal town.

SUBIC Bay Freeport: Singaporian firm Keppel Philippines announced it would expand its facilities in Subic and Batangas due to high demand for ship repairs.

Reports said that Keppel is in advance stages of its proposal to expand its operation in both location with the Board of Investments.

The company is more on ship repair rather that building.,officials say that market for new ship are declining while demand on repair, maintenance and operation for existing ships is growing.

230 families relocated after demolition in Subic Zambales: video

Some 230 families who were former setters of Sitio Agusuhin which is now being occupied by Hanjin Shipyard was demolished after Pamana Inc. claimed the 14 hectare land they were occupying in Barangay Cawad Subic, Zambales for almost 5 years now.

The local government of Subic headed by Mayor Jay Khonghun said that they have already found a new site for the residents and that ground works have also started in preparation for the residents transfer.

Subic locators cry foul over new BIR order

SUBIC Bay Freeport: Locators inside this Freeport, headed by Subic Bay Freeport Chamber of Commerce (SBFCC) President Danny Piano, protested the new Bureau of Revenue (BIR) order implementing taxes on oil products here.

This after the BIR issued last week Revenue Regulation-2-2012 that would tax oil companies even those inside the Freeport zones starting next week.

The BIR however noted that it would be refunded if buyers can show proof that the oil products were consumed inside the Freeport.

Iba, Zambales: The province of Bulacan dominated the Central Luzon Regional Athletic Association (CLRAA) besting out 17 other division in the region as it formally close today at the Zambales sports complex.

Bulacan gathered 499.66 overall points while second place went to Pampanga with a total 358 points. Tthe city of Olongapo came in third with a total of 247.91 points.

IBA, Zambales: Some 13,000 delegates from 18 school divisions in Central Luzon will battle it out today, Monday, during the start of the five-day Central Luzon Regional Athletic Association (CLRAA).

ZAMBALES, Philippines – In an effort to address the increasing drowning incident especially during summer, resort owners here recently conducted an international lifeguard training.

The Pundaquit Resort Owners Association, in cooperation with the Zambales Tourism Association, Surfers Association and the Local Government Unit of San Antonio, recently conducted a Lifeguarding Training through the Philippine Life Saving, the sole full member organization to the International Life Saving Federation of Belgium.
