IBA, Zambales: Former Zambales provincial administrator Jun Omar C. Ebdane was proclaimed winner of the recent special election by the Commission on Elections for the vacant representative for the Second Legislative District of Zambales.

According to the official Comelec tally, Ebdane, who ran under the Partido ng Magsasaka at Manggagawa (PMM), won in a slim margin of 5,922 votes over closest rival Cheryl Deloso-Montalla of the Liberal Party (LP).

Anne Gordon appointed as new SBMA board member

OLONGAPO City: Former Zambales vice governor Anne Marie Gordon was appointed as a member of the Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority Board of Director, reports said yesterday.

Several online news reports quoted Deputy Spokesperson Abigail Valte that Gordon will replace Teodoro del Rosario.

She is the wife of Olongapo City Major James Gordon, Jr.

Gordon will represent the city in the SBMA board.

3 major dev’t project in Zambales opened

IBA Zambales: Three major projects were inaugurated here this week as part of the development program of the provincial government.

Governor Jun Ebdane inaugurated the rehabilitated segment of Carael National Highway in the town of Botolan, which was damage heavily during the past rainy season.

According to Governor Jun Ebdane, the rehabilitation works, which connects the northern and southern parts of the province, worth P50 million.

Ebdane also inaugurated P50 million worth of medical equipments at Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Hospital.

Some 1,400 runners from Olongapo City participated in a fun run organized by local anti coal plant group.

The fun run was also participated by Greenpeace Philippines in support of the campaign.

The Sikad Subic fun run was the a kick start of a one day activity which also showcased a swimming competition, a poster making contest and a mini concert at the famous boardwalk of Subic in the evening. Photos and text by Anthony Bayarong
