CAMP Tolentino, Bataan: The Bataan Police Provincial Office (PPO) is in dire need of police recruits to boost the police force and march on with the implementation of anti-crime programs.
Senior Superintendent Arnold D. Gunnacao, Bataan PPO director, said the call for recruits will not only benefit Bataan because the entire of Region 3 are short of police personnel and Camp Crame requires a replenishment of its forces.
“Many police officers are retiring and recent statistics showed that 150 police officers had been laid off the PNP (Philippine National Police) since June last year,” said Gunnacao.
Gunnacao said those who are interested should apply now in Camp Tolentino, the PNP’s headquarters in this province, as the acceptance of application for recruitments runs from February 1 to 8.
He said that endorsements from the municipality/city screening committee will be made from February 15 to 21 to be followed by regional screening and then the selection process beginning March 1 and ending on April 15.
The final screening, he said, will be held from April 15-30, 2011.
He said those lucky to be drafted for the PNP training will be automatically accepted as new members of the PNP provided they could pass the rigid tests.
In the past, applicants for police officers have to go all the way to Camp Olivas, the regional headquarters of the PNP. PIA
