Brother of Botolan mayor shot dead

Unidentified men shot dead the brother of Botolan town mayor late Thursday afternoon.

According to reports the victim identified as Victor Yap, the younger brother of Mayor Rogelio Yap was passing through the vicinity of Palanginan Village in Iba when unidentified men on board a van opened fired on him.

Yap died immediately due to gunshot wound to his head.

Police authorities are still investigating the incident.

Mayor Yap meanwhile called on police authorities to resolve the case as soon as possible.
