3 suspected RHB killed in Zambales

Three suspected members of the Rebolusyunaryong Hukbong Bayan were killed in an encounter with law enforcers in the town of Candelaria province of Zambales early morning Wednesday.

According to reports, members of the Zambales Mobile Group headed by Police Inspector Rolando Dellezo were patrolling the area of Sito Macahe-cahe in Barangay Malabon about 7:30 am when they encountered 30 members of the said rebel group. A gun fight between the two group immediately followed.

Three unidentified rebels were killed while Dellezo was injured and brought to the Candelaria hospital for medical attention.

Recovered from the scene were an Armilite Riffle, 9mm pistol, 300 round of assorted ammunition, 3 ammunition for an M203 grenade launcher and subversive documents.

Clearing operation by police authorities is still being conducted in the area.
