Olongapo City: Police authorities arrested a suspected drug pusher and confiscated some P120,000 worth of suspected shabu in Barangay Calapandayan Subic, Zambales.

According to police reports, police operatives conducted a buy bust operation led by the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group headed by PCINSP Ponce Rogelio Peniones Jr. and the Criminal Investigation Unit, City Anti Illegal Drugs Special Operation Taskforce of the Olongapo City Police Office headed by PCINSP Julius Domingo in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) last December 8 at barangay Calapndayan, Subic, Zamables.

Police identified the suspect as Kadil Akmad, 37, a resident of the said barangay.

Recovered from the suspect were five (5) sachets of suspected shabu weighing more than eight grams with an estimated street value of P120,000 and one five hundred peso bill which was used as marked money during the buy bust operation.

The arrest is part of the police’s campaign against illegal drugs dubbed as ‘Oplan Bertha.’

A case of violation of RA 9165 otherwise known as the dangerous drugs act of 1972 ,is being readied for filing against the suspect.
