Ebdane challenge Deloso in Zambales

Zambales: after setting back his plans in running as president, former Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) secretary Hermogenes Ebdane has formally made his intention to run as Governor of the Province of Zambales.

Ebdane will be challenging incumbent Governor Amor Deloso.

Deloso welcomed the challenge saying that this will be a good fight. He further explained to Subic Times that he feels privilege that a big man from Malacanang has decided to run against him for the top post in the province.

He however questioned Ebdane’s commitment in the province, “aside from the billboards with GMA posted along the highway of the province he has not been felt personally here,” Deloso said.

Ebdane first barred his plans to run as president in the coming May 2010 election but decided to beg off the race sighting lack of political machinery and fund to run the campaign.

Deloso also said that he is building his own political dynasty in the province.

“Unlike other politicos who build their dynasty for personal gains, I am building it to serve the people of Zambales.” Deloso said.

3 other member of the Deloso family has formally filed their Certificate of Candidate, Cheryl Deloso, daughter of the governor will be running in the 2nd district of Zambales as congresswoman, Herbert Deloso (son) will be running for Baord member and Jury Elamparo Deloso (nephew) will be the running mate of Ebdane.

  1. I never new Ebdane hails from Zambales… I thought he was from Mindanao, judging from the tarpaulins along road projects there… I wish he had projects in Zambales long before he planned to run for a post.
